Fission HDCore Archive Module

Data archival requirements not only vary from one broadcaster to another, but also between the departments within them. Fission HDCore Archive Module enables these areas to address their needs by creating custom comprehensible catalogs, maintaining consistency with internal terminology. These catalogs consist of metadata structures, data fields, validations, and file links, that can describe the information which helps any user within a station to seek the media on demand. Such profiles can be expanded and edited at any time.

Flexible Storage

The stored media within the archive is located in a two level storage. This makes retrieval easier for frequently used files which are available from a high-speed access cache; while the whole catalog is stored in long-term storage devices, such as tape library systems. Storage can be incorporated into this scheme as required, either already available or newly acquired one.

User access

In order to maintain the integrity of catalogs, the Archive Module brings up a fully customizable user access engine; allowing them to add or retrieve media, edit metadata for each profile or restrict them from deleting media, based on operational requirements.

Dynamic User Interface

Finding specific media in time is crucial. This can be achieved due to the flexible catalog engine which allows cross-field and multiple searches to be stored for immediate use. Results can be displayed simultaneously for comparison and validation purposes.

Multi-user Environment

Through its modular design, Fission Archive’s Media Browser allows simultaneous access to all catalogs and their related media through the use of a centralized storage and database. Media Browser clients can be added to the system as needed.
